Official Opening of Alpha Headquarters
Eight national officers of the Fraternity were present in Chicago during the first week in May to help formally open headquarters of the full-time secretary of Alpha Phi Alpha in the Binga Arcade Building located on South State at Thirty-Fifth Street. Brother Bennie D. Brown, (Seated), Alpha’s first full-time Secretary, occupies two suites of offices in the Arcade. He is shown with seven of his fellow officers, namely, from left to right.
